Straatbeeld

Straatbeeld transforms ordinary streetlights into magical portals of interactive art. When pedestrians walk beneath these specially equipped lampposts, a depth camera detects their presence, instantly creating a personalized digital performance at their feet. The everyday sidewalk becomes an unexpected stage for spontaneous digital art.

The installation merges technology and creativity in public space, surprising passersby with intimate moments of wonder during their daily routines. Through motion-responsive projections, the pavement comes alive with dynamic visuals that respond to movement, creating a playful dialogue between person and place.

Every lamppost offers a different experience, making each encounter unique and unexpected. This urban intervention demonstrates how street furniture can become a canvas for digital art, bringing moments of delight and reflection to the nighttime cityscape.
