Projection Mapping

A graffiti artwork by Munir de Vries transforms into a dynamic light installation through precision video mapping. The building’s corner serves as a canvas where static street art comes alive at night through carefully mapped animations that match and animate the original artwork.

The technical setup creates seamless integration between the physical graffiti and digital projections. Custom animations follow the exact lines and shapes of the artwork making it appear to move and transform. This digital enhancement respects and amplifies the original street art while adding a new dimension of storytelling.

The content was developed in collaboration with Van der Hoeve Kliniek residents creating a meaningful connection between the artwork and its community. Multiple show sequences run throughout the evening bringing new life to the urban landscape and transforming the building corner into an evolving canvas of light and motion. This installation demonstrates how digital technology can enhance street art while fostering community engagement.
