Umbrella's reflect the festival visitors moods.
Vistors of the festival can express their moods using a special umbrella. This umbrella is equipped with a light that can be set to a specific color. This colourcode represents a festival mood as categorised on a legenda of moods. The coloured umbrellas are handed out when visitors take a walk to another festival venue. As a result this walk becomes part of the festival experience. And it triggers spontaneous interactions between visitors about the festival programme.
Furthermore the umbrella’s trigger an interactive video projection and soundscape that reflects the dominant festival mood in the streets around the festival. This project has been displayed at the music and literature festival Crossing Border in Den Hague in 2009.
