Puppeteering in the digital era.
In this research project initiated by Maplab, the potential of merging sensor technologies and puppeteering is explored. In collaboration with puppeteering group Duda Paiva a sequence of scenes was developed. The sensor technologies extend the control and timing an actor has over the puppet in a performance. For example, in one of the scenes the puppet sings a song which is based on the live motions of the mouth of the puppet.
